Halifax Academy Class of 2025 Senior Spotlight:

Rylee Shelton Mizelle was recently named Valedictorian for the HA Class of 2025. He received the honor of serving as lead junior marshal last year. Rylee is a National Senior Beta Club member and currently serves as our chapter vice president. He has also been a Monogram and Octagon Club member and the Quiz Bowl Team captain. Additionally, Rylee is a charter member of our newly established Spanish Club.

During Rylee’s time at HA, he was on the varsity basketball and shooting teams. He has received awards while participating on our Shooting Team and was recently a first-place team member in District 3. Rylee competed in the Youth Hunter Education and Shooting Team State competition last weekend.

Outside of school, Rylee works as a sales associate at Littleton Hardware and a lighting technician for the Acorn Center. In Rylee’s spare time, he enjoys hunting and playing the guitar. Rylee volunteered as a lighting technician for Lakeland Cultural Arts Center. He is a member of Enterprise Baptist Church, where he especially enjoys performing with the youth praise & worship team and volunteering as audio-visual personnel during worship services and special events.

Rylee plans to attend North Carolina State University in the fall and major in Computer Science with a concentration in cybersecurity in the College of Engineering. Rylee is the son of Renee and Don Mizelle of Littleton. He has one older brother, Ryan.
