Alegent Health Scholarship- $1,500 (12 Awards)To be eligible for this scholarship you must be a high school senior with intent to pursue a degree in a health care field.  Applicants must have and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.  Applications can be found by going online to www.studentscholarships.org/scholarship.php.

Sallie Southall Cotton Scholarship sponsored by the Roanoke Rapids Women's Club in the amount of $500.  Scholarship is based on academic excellence, evidence of leadership, personal character, strong desire to serve others, and financial need.  See Mrs. Harris for details.

Ethel W. Crawley Education Fund: www.scholarshipprograms.org. Applicants must live in Halifax County, N.C and be worthy students who have distinguished themselves personally and scholastically.

Global Lift Equipment Scholarship:  To be considered for this scholarship, the student must be planning to attend a post secondary institution in the United States, submit a short story, and have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.  Visit www.usedforkliftsnewyork.com for details.  One $500 scholarship awarded.

Golden LEAF Scholarship Program awards up to 215 grants valued at $12,000 ($3,000 per year for up to four years).  This scholarship is based on financial need, academic achievement, community service, and extracurricular activities.  Application is available at www.CFNC.org/goldenleaf.

Halifax County Farm Bureau Scholarship Program.  Priority is given but not limited to the field of agriculture or agriculture-related majors.  All applicants must be residents of Halifax County and parents or guardians must be Halifax County Farm Bureau members.  Applicants must be planning to attend a North Carolina accredited college, community college, or technical institute. 

Halifax Electric Membership Corporation Slade-Ellen Educational Scholarship are one-time grants awarded annually to two high school seniors whose parents/guardians are members of Halifax Electric Membership Corporation.  Selection is based on: 40% Financial Need, 40% Scholastic Achievement, & 20% Extracurricular Achievement/Activities.

Horatio Alger Scholarship:  To be eligible to apply, applicants must meet the following criteria:  Be enrolled in high school and progressing toward graduation and exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution.  Applications are available at www.hortioalger.org.  50+ $21,000 Awards.

Florence Kidder Memorial Scholarship sponsored by the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of North Carolina in the amount of $3000 and a runner up scholarship of $1000.  Scholarship is based on character, need, scholastic record, and merit of assigned essay.

North Carolina Farm Bureau R. Flake Shaw Scholarship.  Scholarships awarded to students who plan to attend a two year community college or four year college or university with an agriculturally related curriculum.  For eligibility requirements, please visit www.ncfb.org or contact your county Farm Bureau office.  Preference will be given to Farm Bureau family members. 

Northampton County Farm Bureau Scholarship - $1000 to assist a student in furthering their education at a North Carolina institute of higher learning.  Priority will be given to but not limited to students who are Northamptom County residents and who or whose parents, grandparents, or guardian are current Northampton County Farm Bureau members.  See Mrs. Harris for an application.
